Conclusion of Placement
On Sunday the 12th June Gladstone Uniting Church and Tannum Sands Uniting Church met together in worship to celebrate the Conclusion of Placement service of Rev. Allan Smith.
The Presbytery Minister Rev. Scott Ballment presided after Rev. Allan led his final worship service in the parish and then joined with those gathered for morning tea. Further presentations of gifts, cutting of the cake, and fond reminiscences of Allan to honour his time here among us, with the Playgroup and ministry within both congregations.
Allan and his wife Dottie are retiring to Hervey Bay after 11½ years of service in Gladstone.
We are grateful for Allan’s service to us during the past decade and wish him and Dottie all the best as they settle into retirement living and more time with family.
