Good Friday at Mt Morgan
“Reflective” is probably the best way to describe the Good Friday Service at Mt Morgan, as members of the congregation led us in worship through readings and prayer. Interspersed between the readings, we sang verses of the African-American Spiritual song “Were you there.”
If you have ever been inside the church building at Mt Morgan, you too may have been delighted by the way sunlight plays and disperses. On Good Friday, the darkness of the cross was dispelled as light filtered through the stained-glass window at the centre of the church.
Worship at Mt Morgan is held each Sunday at 9.00am.
The tourist season is starting, the golf course is looking green and it’s just a few months until the Mt Morgan wattle will begin to bloom. If you are passing through the township, you will receive a warm welcome at worship, and at the Bluecare Centre op-shop on Friday mornings each week, and on the first Saturday morning of the month.
